Hello, I’m Sophie, one of 1000 Mile Travel Group’s dedicated Travel Experts.
I have over 20 years of experience in the travel industry across a variety of different areas including corporate, events and finance.
Throughout my career, I have relied on my organisational, time management and problem-solving skills to provide exceptional service to my clients.
My journey in the industry began in corporate travel where I was managing a portfolio of clients with varying requirements. From here, I moved into a corporate event management role where I coordinated a range of incentives, conferences, exhibitions and education groups both domestically and internationally. My experience in these areas has enabled me to develop a strong skill-set in organising proposals, budgets, procurement of merchandise, sponsorship, collateral, client and delegate management and more.
From a finance perspective, I have also held positions where I have been responsible for accounts receivable and payable, transactional reporting and reconciliations through SAP, MYOB and Tramada for corporate events and travel. While I have moved back into the corporate travel management space, I use this knowledge to provide my clients with comprehensive financial reporting.
My expertise, coupled with my experience in hospitality has provided me with a high standard for exceptional service levels. As a corporate Travel Expert, I take pride in being flexible and taking a mature approach to all aspects of my work to ensure my clients travel requirements are met.
